Learn how to make a red velvet latte at home with a simple recipe using cacao, coconut milk, and adaptogens. This guide covers ingredients and step-by-step instructions.
Quick answer
To make a red velvet latte at home, blend cacao powder, coconut milk, beetroot powder, and adaptogens like reishi, chaga, and lion's mane for a creamy, brain-fueling drink.
Why use a mix like Terrasoul's Red Velvet Latte?
A pre-made blend saves you from sourcing multiple specialty powders individually. Terrasoul's Red Velvet Latte combines cacao, coconut milk powder, beetroot, MCT oil, and adaptogens in one bag, so you get consistent flavor and functional benefits without measuring each ingredient.
How to make a red velvet latte
- Heat your milk base: Warm 8 oz (240 ml) of your preferred milk—dairy, oat, or almond—on the stovetop or in a milk frother until hot but not boiling (around 150°F / 65°C). Overheating can curdle plant milks or degrade adaptogens; use a thermometer if you have one.
- Mix the red velvet powder: Add 2 tablespoons (about 15 g) of Terrasoul Red Velvet Latte mix to a mug. Pour in a splash of hot milk and stir into a smooth paste to avoid clumps. A paste prevents floating dry powder; if you skip this step, you'll get lumps.
- Combine and finish: Pour the remaining hot milk into the mug while stirring. For a frothy top, use a milk frother for 10 seconds or whisk vigorously. Serve immediately. Letting it sit causes the beetroot sediment to settle; stir again if needed before drinking.
